What is an SBV subtitle file?

SBV is a simple caption format commonly used with YouTube. Each cue contains a comma-separated start and end timestamp followed by its dialogue.

Does converting SRT or VTT to SBV change timing?

No. Cue start and end times are preserved to the millisecond. This tool changes the file structure, not subtitle speed or synchronization.

Can I convert SBV back to SRT or VTT?

Will WebVTT styling be kept in SBV?
